| Maun Motors take part in Historic 40th Anniversary of Ford Transit Celebrations! Maun Motors were one of 150 participants in the Ford-organised Transit Van Rally - from Dunton, Essex; to the Ford Transit factory in Southampton. On the morning of Sunday July 17th 2005, Ford Transit owners from all over the Country assembled on the test-track of Ford's Technical Centre at Dunston. Once initial registration and formation was completed, the convoy headed for the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge (Dartford Bridge), which had been closed to the public, specially for the event. The vans - which ranged from mark 1 Transits, right through to modern-day Jumbos and Connects - were assembled in three lanes, which drove over the otherwise empty bridge in unison. It was quite a spectacle, as the Transits of all sizes, shapes and colours made their way between the angled cables of the magnificent QEII suspension bridge. |
| Ford didn't miss out on the marketing opportunity either - with a dedicated camera van (Transit, of course!), and a helicopter taking aerial shots. Look out for these pictures as
part of a future Ford advertising campaign. After the bridge crossing, the Transits made their way to Southampton, where a family fun day was put on for the participants and Ford staff. One of the highlights of this was a fly-past by a WWII Hurricane aeroplane. Read more about the day and view pictures of the event here! The good news is that you can own a piece of history! Because we have for sale two Transit Jumbo vans, which took part in the rally. For more information on them, Click Here for further details. |

| Maun Motors On Line Introduces Streaming Video for Broadband and Dial-Up Users! For the first time, Maun Motors On-Line users will be able to view streaming video of specialised vehicles. Obviously, there are some vehicles for which photographs alone simply do no justice. If pictures can speak a thousand words, then surely video can speak a million! This is why the decision was taken to introduce short video clips for certain vehicles. Check our first one out by Clicking Here for Broadband/ISDN Users; or Here for Dial-Up Users; there are more being added each week. |

| The Ford Transit Connect Has Arrived! Maun Motors has received it's first used Ford Transit Connect panel van, which on first impressions looks like a well-designed, practical vehicle; with the legendary Ford Transit build quality and reliability. With a front passenger seat which completely folds away, to provide a full 2.5 metre maximum loadspace length, (That's a huge loadspace length fo a small van.), the Connect looks set to be a major contender to the well established Citroën, Peugeot and Renault models. Click Here to see details of our Transit Connects. |

| 30 Years Celebrated In Style Maun Motors ended it's 30th anniversary year with a great dinner party, held at Santo's Reataurant, Higham.  Around 150 guests attended, including staff, business clients and family friends. A fantastic night was had by all - although a certain webmaster had his smug grin removed when an interactive slide-show of images mapping Maun Motors' history; went horribly wrong. As you'd imagine, equipment was blamed, rather than the operator! Oh well, there's always the 40th... |

| Re-construction Of New Hire Depot Reaches New Stage The ever-improving new hire site has reached new stages in development. Since all hire operations moved there at the end of 2001, the site is virtually unrecognisable. All of the buildings have now had the tatty, unappealing roof and wall sheeting replaced by modern multi-layer insulated sheets. A new valeting building and jet-wash bay is now in operation, with further site improvements ongoing. The extra yard space didn't half help with the Christmas rush too! |

| Maun Motors Self Drive Now Has A New Phone Number: |
| Maun Motors Self Drive moves to bigger, better yard, even closer to the M1! That's right, Maun Motors have recently moved our hire depot location from Alfreton Road, Sutton-In-Ashfield, near Mansfield, to Berristow Lane, Blackwell, close to Sherwood Commercials and Uponor Aldyl. Less than 2 minutes from M1 Junction 28! Click Here to view the map and get directions to us. |
| The new yard is several times the size of the previous depot on Alfreton Road, Sutton In Ashfield, allowing us more space to store vehicles waiting to be hired, and far easier maneouvrability within the yard, which face it; we needed! Maun Motors Self Drive is still close enough to Sutton and Mansfield to serve these places, and we're now more accessible to Alfreton, Ripley and Derby too, not to mention the rest of the country, via the M1 Motorway |
| We have a brand-new reception area with disabled access and toilets, a large counter area, 4 incoming telephone lines, seating and a refreshment vending machine. |
| The new site is also far better equipped to maintain our ever-expanding hire fleet - Our new Hire site has 3 huge buildings of top-class workshop space. Maun Motors now employ more vehicle technicians and mechanics than ever before, and with 4 ramps currently operating
at the Berristow Lane site alone, we have the capacity to service, inspect and prepare our vehicles for MOT; more efficiently than ever before. |
| More skip loaders and 'Rolonof' loaders added to Hire fleet Since visiting the Rye Show in February, we have teamed up with HyvaLift, and recently introduced 3 Daf 4 wheeler chassis equipped with Hyva conventional skip loading bodies. |
| We have also added to our range of hook-loaders, with another 2 Iveco 8 wheel chassis and Hyva hook-loading bodies. This all adds to the availability of vehicles to the hirer and demonstrates our continuing commitment to provide for the specialist sectors. |
