Maun Motors offer a variety of specialised vehicles, for all manner of applications. On this page, we give a guide to some of the specifications we sell, although other variants may be available on request.

Urban Iveco Daily This configuration of the Iveco Daily, we made ourselves, specifically designed to be 'urban-friendly', for distribution work in built up areas. The body features a detachable tilt cover, which effectively gives half the body a curtain sided property. This is particularly useful if you carry some cargo which needs to be kept dry. The rest of the body features an aluminium dropside, with a tail lift, for ease of loading and unloading the vehicle. All of these features, and the vehicle still has a substantial payload. 
Donington Park Rescue Unit We can arrange for a standard panel van to become a fully-functional ambulance or rescue unit. Below is the vehicle we supplied to Donington Park Race Track. 
Beavertails We have different sizes of truck, equipped with 'beavertail' bodies. This type of body features an angled rear end of the body and ramps which attach. This allows vehicles, machinery and plant to be driven onto the truck for transportation. Our larger beavertail unit is well suited to civil engineering companies and open-cast mining operations, where plant, equipment and portable cabins all need to be moved. A great feature of this body is that the ramps hydraulically fold flat to the body, which effectively creates a larger load area, for carrying the likes of cabins. This vehicle also has a sleeper cab. 
4x4 Ford Transits At any time we have up to five Transit vans or minibuses on a 4 wheel drive chassis. These vehicles feature extra high ground clearance and a selectable 4 wheel drive gearbox. Individual specifications of models vary, depending on our current stock. Please telephone for more precise details of the vehicles we have to offer. 
 Wheelchair & Disabled Access Vehicles Nowadays, many quality modifications and conversions are available on vehicles to allow wheelchair access and access for people who find getting into or exiting a vehicle, a problem. Maun Motors stock vehicles with either wheelchair ramps or wheelchair lifts; and various locking systems, to secure a wheelchair into the vehicle safely. Because of the specialist nature of these vehicles, we can only sell what is available to us at that time, so specific makes and models cannot always be found. That said however, we constantly stock at least 4 or 5 'access' vehicles, for sale, usually of varying models. Vehicle shown is an 'R' registered Renault Extra with a rear wheelchair ramp fitted and locking tracks to secure wheelchairs to.  Mobile Tyre Fitting We occasionally have available, vehicles fully equipped to serve as mobile tyre fitting units. Each vehicle has it's own air compressor, either inside the body, or fitted underneath. The compressors have both low and high volume hose couplings. The vehicles also have 240V AC inverters, and multiple working lights and sockets. Most of the vehicles have electronic Lucas 'Swing Lifts' fitted internally, towards the rear doors, to aid in lifting heavy wheels/tyres onto or off the vehicle. All vehicles have extra security locks on the doors. 
Removals To handle removal applications, such as house contents, electrical goods and large equipment, we have a range of vehicles incorporating luton bodies, which give extra storage space above the cab. Some of the 3.5t GVW models are also complete with a dropwell; where the rear of the body is lower than the main floor, to aid loading. The dropwells have removable sections which can make the whole floor area standard height. All lutons and dropwells feature tying eyes or loops, and some feature 'load-lok' rails on the interior walls, for securing goods. Click a link below to visit the page you want.

Removals 7.5t Upwards Mobile Dustbin Cleaning SOLD - 01/02/03 We currently have an 'N' Reg. Ford Transit for sale, equipped with a body designed for cleaning dustbins on site. The vehicle has a 5'6" box body, with wheelie bin lift and high-pressure cleaning jets. There is a nearly new Compressor, 240v Generator and Water Pressuriser, which power the Pneumatic Bin Lift and Water Jets, and also a High-Pressure Lance, for stubborn and hard to reach grime. The water and cleaning chemicals are recycled by an integrated Filtration System, allowing many more bins to be cleaned on one water fill. The tanks hold approximately 611 litres of water and chemicals. The van itself has a 76ps Diesel engine, has done a warranted 64,993 miles and has power steering. Sorry, SOLD - 01/02/03
